Lone entreprenuer or Business partners?

Everyone, I found that from our questionnaires results that 62% of would-be entrepreneurs prefer to work alone. Their reasons being that they feel more secure working alone, problems of miscommunication can be avoided and they can be more self-reliant. Do all of you think that working alone is better or having business partners would be more efficient?

I think that working in a group of 3 would be good. That way, tasks can be divided and done efficiently plus less time would be consumed. When there are business decisions to be made, 2 heads are definitely better than 1. A 3 head system will always get fair results in voting for decisions. Sometimes doing an entrepreneurship alone can be stressful and too much of a burden for 1 individual, especially if their products are hand-made. The workload can be easily spread out among the 3 business partners and the probability of producing a well-made and top quality product will definitely increase.

Therefore, I think that doing an entrepreneurship with business partners is definitely better than being alone. The decision making will be easier, there is less workload on an individual and the products produced will be better in quality and quantity.

  1. Its true of what you said but i think it does go both ways. Some e-entrepreneurs prefer working alone because they want things to go their way and they are always on the go and keep on track of schedules, money payment, the products they sell, etc. That way, they'll get full satisfaction with what they are doing and also 'big money' with the income they earn from the sell.Which is also good because they can learn to earn money efficiently by managing it themselves and being more aware of frauds since their managing it alone.

  2. When it comes to business, i think that lone entrepreneur is better. I do agree that working with business partners is efficient in dividing works if compared to lone entrepreneur. However, conflicts between business partners are unavoidable because everyone has their own vision and thoughts. If everyone stands strong for their ideas, I believe that it consumes lots of time to come out with a same vision. Furthermore, lone entrepreneur can exhibit their products in their own social networks, such as facebook and blogs. It is easier to manage if compared to partnership business.

  3. Well, I think that all of you have your own point which is agreeable. However, I would also like to add in a few points. That is, being in business management, it could also depends on the individual. For example, if an individual who make their own products but is not good in business management, then, it would be probably good to have a partner. Or, if the business has just started off, or is manageable, then being a lone entrepreneur is alright. But, if the business starts to get more complicated, then having a partner would be beneficial.

  4. most of the time e-entrepreneurs think work in alone is better than work with some one else. in online business the liability is less. so even though you lose some model you can replace it with out wasting much money. and also if there is only one person he can have all the profit than divide it in to few parts. because of these reasons many e-entrepreneurs want to work alone. if you can control all these management points i think work in alone is better than work with others.
